Problem
Company: 2fumbe.com is an ecommerce platform for kitchen supplies. Loosely translated, 2fumbe means "Let's cook" in Ugandan local dialect. Situation: In 2015 David Bagambagye, the 2fumbe.com founder wanted to create an ecommerce platform that sales kitchen supplies to Ugandans. His goal was to save them from the hustle and bustle of going downtown to haggle over prices that he could so easily offer them and even deliver at their door step! Task: David hired me as a Software Developer and Consultant to develop an ecommerce platform that would enable him sell his kitchen supplies online. Action: Together with him, we brainstormed, iterated through various prototypes and phases and built a web application called 2fumbe.com. Results: As we speak, 2fumbe is currently considered by many as the go-to ecommerce website for all your kitchen supplies in Uganda. Not only did the site help David and his team showcase their Kitchen merchandise, it also resulted into more demand and more 2fumbe stores opening up.
